Meet The Dentists
|John Carter, D.M.D. – Plant City|

|Dr. John Carter is a general dentist with 17 years experience and a wide range of treatment skills from fillings/crowns and gum therapy to dental implants and orthodontics. Dr. Carter was born in Tampa and grew up in Brooksville, which has given him an appreciation for the outdoors and small towns. He received his dental degree from the University of Florida in 1996 and moved back to the Tampa Bay Area to start his practice. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and West Coast Dental Association. Dr. Carter lives in Tampa with his wife, Genie, and their two young sons, Nicholas and Zachary. They attend St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church. Dr. Carter enjoys family activities, which include biking, water sports, camping, and attending sporting events.
|Trey A. Mueller III, D.M.D. – Central Brandon|

|Dr. Trey Mueller is a native of Plant City, Florida. He was an honor graduate of Plant City High School, a two sport athlete receiving all-county honors in baseball, and state recognition in swimming. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, majoring in Health and Human Nutrition. He is affiliated with the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, as well as several honor societies. Trey entered the College of Dentistry at the University of Florida, and graduated with his D.M.D. in 2005. Trey and his wife, Meredith, reside in Tampa, Florida, along with their three children: Mackenzie, Ellie, and Will. Trey is active with the Merry Makers Club, Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, and Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church. Trey loves the outdoors. When he is not in the office, he can usually be found on a tennis court or doing family activities such as boating and sporting events. In the fall, Trey loves going back to the University of Florida to watch Gator football games and catch up with old friends and professors. Dr. Mueller is an active member of the West Coast Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
|Jason Bivens, D.D.S. – Sun City|
|Dr. Bivens grew up in Clearwater, Florida attended Clearwater Central Catholic High School and graduated in 1999. He then went on to attend the University of South Florida where he received a Bachelor Degree in Biology 2004. After graduation he attended Purdue University where he received a Masters Degree in Biology 2007. While receiving his B.S. and M.S. he volunteered his time as a dental assistant in undeserved communities located in the areas. He finally accomplished his goal of becoming a Dentist at the Indiana University School of Dentistry 2011. While in his junior and senior year of Dental School Dr. Bivens was invited to spend his free time teaching first and second year dental students based on his clinical skills and academic performance. He enjoyed this honor and spent as much time as possible training these new students on the complications that he had witnessed throughout his dental school career. Dr. Bivens graduated with honors and was ranked #6 out of 120 students in his class. He began working with Dental Associates of Florida in August of 2011 and has run their Sun City office ever since. He has excellent staff and takes pride in his dental work. He always makes a point to treat his patients with the courtesy and respect they deserve.
|Ian Fawcett, D.D.S. – Bartow|

|Dr. Ian Fawcett is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Dr. Fawcett is originally from a small town in West Tennessee where he enjoyed the simplicity and closeness of the small town life. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry in 2009 from Freed Hardeman University. Dr. Fawcett recently moved to Lakeland with his wife and three young children, Finley and Cannon. Dr. Fawcett enjoys spending his free time with his family whether it’s jumping waves at the beach or snuggled on the couch watching cartoons. He also enjoys being active with his church family, running 5K races with his Dad, and watching the Dallas Cowboys play. Dr. Fawcett is a member of the American Dental Association and has worked in the dental field since 2007. He enjoys all areas of dentistry and meeting and caring for all his patients individually.
|Loryn R. Merrill, D.D.S, – Brooksville|
|New York University Dental School|
|Born and raised in New York State, Dr. Merrill received her BA in Psychology/Biology at SUNY Buffalo. She was then selected to attend State University of New York, School of Dental Medicine where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After a one-year comprehensive General Dentistry residency at the VA Hospital in Buffalo, Dr. Merrill decided to pursue her dream of living in Florida and practicing dentistry. She completed an Endodontic Externship and a comprehensive course in Esthetic Dentistry/Full Mouth Rehabilitation. Her philosophy of dentistry includes providing the highest quality and gentlest dentistry possible while caring for the entire patient.
